Privacy Policy for MemoryPalace

This Privacy Policy explains how Lipi ("Publisher", "we") handles information when you use the MemoryPalace dApp ("the dApp"). We are committed to data minimization: the dApp is designed to work without a server and without collecting personal information about you.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is Lipi, based in Bangladesh, contactable at mistlipi@proton.me.

2. Information We Collect

The dApp is designed to minimize data collection:

  • Device information: Technical identifiers required for the dApp to function on your device (such as storage for your settings and content) remain on your device.
  • Public blockchain data: When you connect a Solana wallet, your public wallet address may be used to interact with the Solana network. This data is public by design of the blockchain.
  • Local-only content: All content you create (questions, answers, plans, stories, translations, and similar) is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

    • 3. Legal Basis (GDPR)

    Where the GDPR applies, we process limited technical data on the basis of legitimate interest (operating and securing the dApp) and, where applicable, your consent. We do not process special categories of personal data.

    4. Third-Party Services

    The dApp may interact with third-party services, including:

  • Solana RPC providers, to read and broadcast blockchain transactions.
  • The Solana Mobile Wallet Adapter, which connects your wallet only with your explicit authorization.

    • Each third party is bound by its own privacy policy; we do not control their processing.

    5. Data Security

    We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the dApp. Because we do not operate servers that store your content, the primary risk surface is your own device; please secure your device and wallet keys.

    6. Your Rights & Deletion

    You may stop using the dApp and delete it at any time, which removes locally stored content from your device. Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR), you may have rights to access, rectify, or erase personal data; since we hold no personal data on our servers, contact us at mistlipi@proton.me and we will address your request.

    7. Minors

    The dApp is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has used the dApp, contact us at mistlipi@proton.me.

    8. International Transfers

    Where data is transferred across borders (for example, to blockchain infrastructure), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required by applicable law.

    9. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the dApp or on the Publisher's website, with an updated "Last Updated" date.
